Story
Our goal is very simple: to provide talented gravity riders with the support, coaching and guidance they need to reach their full potential.
MTB gravity racing – including downhill and enduro – is often a forgotten part of the cycling disciplines, even though everyone involved knows how incredible the sport is and how amazing the people are who take part in it. Gravity has not yet had the chance to shine on a truly global stage like the Olympic Games.
Gravity is a sport driven 100% by passion, and we all know that when it finally gets its moment on the biggest stage, it will attract a whole new audience – people who didn’t even know the sport existed the day before. I can easily imagine people at work the day after an Olympic downhill final saying to their colleagues: “Did you see that last night?” or “OMG, downhill racers are insane – and a little crazy!”
Until the sport gets that opportunity, it remains a small but powerful community driving its development in this country. It is mums and dads, bike shop owners, and former racers who give their spare time to support the future of our sport.

Who is behind MTB Gravity Osctschweiz?
For the organisers of MTB Gravity Ostschweiz its not about money, its not about recognition or fame, its about giving back and giving a chance. We are here for teh future of a sport we love, we have the passion, the drive and will not stop until the path is set for gravity racing in Switzerland. we are not concerned about what team or club you ride for, we a focussed on the racer inside.
Our atletes might race against each other othe weekends and the organised have their own teams one thing will never be fogotten. Support, Coaching and Guidence for our future champions. It doesnt matter where we are or where we are with our own teams MTB Gravity Ostschweiz athletes will get the support and help when needed.
Where we are heading?
this is a very simple answer…. a world champion is where we are heading. there has been a massive gap in gravity racing in switzerland for teh past 15 years and other dominated countries such as France, uk, australia and america have set the stand and foundations for their futre racers. This is where MTB Gravity Ostschweiz comes in. Over the past few years there are a handfull of small teams giving young racers a chance at a national elvel, this is greta and is very much needed but we need to bridge the gap between these teams and our national gravity swiss cycling team. young talent needs to be race ready, have the knowledge of training, nutrition and understand what ti take to become a champion. once ther reach the junior and elite levels the foundations are already there and the national coaches can pick up where we finished. This co.ordinatio is vitaul to the future of our sport.

Sarah Sharp Fitzpatrick
Präsidentin / Aktuarin
Sarah Sharp Fitzpatrick ist Präsidentin von MTB Gravity Ostschweiz. Mit grossem Engagement setzt sie sich für die Entwicklung des Gravity-Mountainbikens in der Ostschweiz ein und unterstützt den Verein sowohl organisatorisch als auch strategisch.
Ihr Ziel ist es, jungen Athletinnen und Athleten eine sichere, professionelle und motivierende Umgebung zu bieten, in der sie ihre Fähigkeiten weiterentwickeln und wertvolle Rennerfahrungen sammeln können. Dabei legt sie grossen Wert auf Teamgeist, Nachwuchsförderung und die Freude am Sport.

Originally from Sydney Australia i found my way to Lenzehreide in 2005 where my passion for the sport quickly took over. I was partt team that build the very first DH trail ( now PrimeLine ) here and was the instigator of the now Kids Cup Series. Owning The Epic Shop gave me the chance to help young talent and Epic Racing was formed in 2023 The hihglights have to be the 2x Swiss DH Champions, a world cup enduro win, 2nd place world champs enduro and a 10th in the DH the same year

Revisor
Greg Kowner ist als Revisor für die unabhängige Prüfung der Vereinsfinanzen von MTB Gravity Ostschweiz verantwortlich. Mit seiner sorgfältigen und zuverlässigen Arbeit stellt er sicher, dass die finanzielle Führung des Vereins transparent und korrekt erfolgt.
Durch seine Unterstützung trägt er dazu bei, eine solide und vertrauensvolle Grundlage für die Entwicklung des Vereins zu schaffen.
Ruedi Gertsch
Revisor
Ruedi Gertsch unterstützt den Verein MTB Gravity Ostschweiz als Revisor. In dieser Funktion prüft er die Jahresrechnung und trägt dazu bei, dass die finanziellen Abläufe des Vereins transparent und korrekt geführt werden.
Mit seinem Engagement unterstützt er eine verantwortungsvolle und solide Organisation des Vereins.
